We are the Elves that do Santa’s important work of raising the Hylton Ridge Real Christmas Trees especially for you! We are on the left halfway up the Roberts Ave hill (131F Roberts Ave, Wanganui). Our black Christmas trees are out from our opening day until Christmas Eve so just follow the arrows.
We established our Christmas Tree Farm in 2012 because we both love the festive season of Christmas and both remember the good times of Christmases shared with our families and friends while growing up and of course the fresh pine scented Christmas Tree was always a highlight of our NZ Summer Christmas. We want today’s families to have the joy of a fresh pine scented Christmas tree too and to make precious family memories like we have. We love that lots of you come back year after year and its always so good to see how your kids have grown and meet new ones that have arrived since last year. Shelby (our Lab) is always keen to greet everyone too!
We encourage you to bring family and friends to wander the rows of beautiful trees to pick your very own Christmas tree. One of the Elves can then cut it to take with you immediately or tag it to be picked up at a later date. Or for a small fee we can deliver for you at a convenient time.

Caring for your tree
Remember your tree is a living tree and needs to be treated with care. The most important thing is to get it into water as soon as possible. If for any reason it takes a while to get home we recommend you cut approx. 1 cm off the base so it can absorb water.
It will drink lots of water for the first few days so keep checking the water level and refill as often as needed. If your household is like our household, the fur-babies love drinking from the tree stand too so even more reason to check it often!
